first_imgShare This!Today, Disney released the dates for the summer one of their more popular hard ticketed events, Disney After Hours. The dates for July, August, and September are as follows:Magic Kingdom: August 22 and 29 and September 5, 12, 19, and 26 (As a reminder, the Magic Kingdom will be offering the Disney Villains After Hours event in the months of June, July, and early August.)Disney’s Animal Kingdom: July 2, 8, 15, 22 and 29; August 5, 12, 19, and 26; and September 3, 9, 16 and 23.Disney’s Hollywood Studios: July 5, 12, 19 and 26For those who don’t know, Disney After Hours is hard ticketed event that occurs after park closing and lasts for three hours at the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The event allows Guests to be able to ride attractions with minimal to no wait. In addition, Guests can enjoy all you care to eat snacks like popcorn, ice cream novelties, and bottled beverages.Disney After Hours event tickets cost $125, plus tax for advance purchase and $129, plus tax for day-of purchases. Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders can purchase tickets at the discounted price of $95, plus tax.And because I get this question all the time, dates for Disney After Hours are typically only released a month or two before and Disney only release two-three months at a time. There is no time table on when Disney will decide to open these dates for the next segment. I will make sure to post when the new dates become available.last_img read more

first_imgThe race for admissions to Delhi University affiliated colleges is all set to begin from Monday when the varsity will start selling centralised forms for admission to the around 54,000 seats under the Four- Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) Students can also fill the form online on the DU’s website and make payment through e- banking. This year, the admission forms will not have the ‘ college option’ and the students will only have to fill the courses in which they want admission. Officials said there is no limit on the number of courses and students can fill as many courses as they want. The admission forms will be available at 18 centres across the Capital, including five colleges each in north and south Delhi, three each in west and east Delhi and two in central Delhi. The last date to submit the forms is June 16.Applicants will have to shell out Rs 150 for over- the- counter admission forms. The same will cost Rs 70 for SC/ ST students. They can also take the cheaper option and fill form online which will cost Rs 50 for SC/ ST and Rs 100 for the rest. The first cut- off list will be out on June 24 after which the admission process will begin.Students eligible for admission under first list can submit the fees and documents till 1 pm on June 26. There will be five cut- off lists in general category and more lists will come only if seats are vacant in any college. ” The 10th cut- off list, which will also be the final cut- off, will be issued on July 21,” Dean of Students Welfare, DU, J. M. Khurana said.advertisementDU aspirants have been attending open house counselling for admissions. On Saturday, the last open house session of the Delhi University was attended by over 2,000 students.”Only two days are left for the process to begin so students had a lot of queries. We have made all the arrangements for ensuring smooth admission season,” Khurana said.In an attempt to make the admission process smoother, the Delhi University has done away with additional eligibility criteria, earlier set by individual colleges at their own level. ” There will no additional criteria for admission to any course or college. All colleges will follow the same criteria system,” he said.Another major change in the admission process this year is that students will be eligible to use the marks obtained in vocational subjects in Class XII to calculate their best of four marks based on which they will get admission to colleges. “Vocational subjects can be included to calculate aggregate, but 10 per cent of the maximum marks will be deducted from the marks obtained in the vocational subject while calculating best of four,” DU joint-dean of students’s welfare and media coordinator Malay Neerav said. The university also launched an Android- based mobile application using which students can not only get admission related information, but also fill their admission forms on their mobiles. The DU officials advised students to fill in the actual marks obtained in the admission form and leave it to colleges to deduct or add marks. As the forms are centralised, there will be no sale of forms at individual college level, except for those candidates applying under sports and extracurricular activities categories. As the Delhi University admission procedure for various undergraduate courses starts from June 2, traffic advisory has been issued to manage the crowd.Visitors have been asked to use public transport and avoid getting their own vehicles as there will be limited space for parking and only vehicles with valid University stickers will be allowed entry. The vehicular movement will also be restricted from Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station to Delhi School of Economics on Chhatra Marg and on GTB Khalsa Road (North Campus) from 9 am to 2 pm (except on Sunday-June 8 and 15).last_img read more
